Le Bleubb

A superb wall decoration

Create a custom mural that is very different to common, standard wall decals. You can make a stencil reminiscent of the amorphous retro shapes of the 1960s in under a minute. It’s up to you whether you want to use this template or come up with a design of your own. You can cut out almost any shape you wish using a jigsaw. We are using our nonwoven wallcovering as a base surface, which provides a velvety smooth base surface for any shape. A sophisticated project you will really enjoy!

1. Project the template onto the chipboard at a size of around 1.20 metres and trace round it with a pencil.

2. Use a jigsaw to cut out the ochre yellow sections of the template. Smooth the edges with fine sandpaper.

3. Apply the stain to the mural and let it dry thoroughly.

4. Lay out the shapes on the nonwoven wallpaper to create the wall decoration. Trace round the shapes with a pencil and cut them out with scissors.

5. Pour blue paint into the paint tray. Then roll paint onto the surfaces and let them dry.

6. Cut off pieces of double-sided adhesive tape and stick them on the back of the wall decoration in several places.

7. Peel off the adhesive backing from the adhesive tape and press the wooden template into the marked position. Make sure that the pieces of the puzzle are positioned precisely each time.

8. Use the ready-mixed Border Adhesive to glue the pieces of wallpaper into the wall decoration. You may need to use a brush.

9. Brush paste on one piece of wallpaper at a time and immediately stick it to the wall, as the paste will dry quickly.

10. Slightly adjust it with your fingers while the adhesive is still wet.

How do I enlarge the design?

Using an overhead projector is ideal. It will reflect the size of the shape you require onto the chipboard leaning against the wall and then you just need to trace around the shape. But there are other ways too: you can use a grid to draw the design. Divide the shape up into little boxes and draw the contents of each box on the wall.
