1. First, prepare the materials you need. Measure the wall to be wallpapered and transfer the dimensions to the woodchip wallpaper. Cut the lengths of wallpaper to size and then wallpaper the wall as per the instructions and allow to dry.

2. Depending on the look you are aiming for, prime the wall in white and allow to dry.

3. Start painting the wall with the lightest colour. Thin the paint with plenty of water and use the sponge to wildly apply it to the wall.

4. Gradually dab on and wipe all the paint colours you wish to use across the wall surface.

HINT: Be sure to leave white areas free as this will enhance the contrast between the individual colours.

5. To achieve a harmonious primed finish, allow the individual colours to merge into each other on the wall. Then allow the wall primed in a colour to dry.

6. Dilute the paint with plenty of water to get a dripping effect. Dip a wide brush into the paint and start at the upper end of the wall. Press the brush against the wall with a little pressure until the paint starts running down.

7. Once again here, start with the lightest colour and gradually use darker colours.
HINT: Thoroughly wash out the sponge and brushes between each colour so as not to impair the purity of the colours.

8. The more water there is in the paint, the further the drips will run down the wall, although they will become thinner. You will need to try out this technique until you have found a perfect paint consistency.
