The new Erfurt Vlies Rauhfaser Classico, with its "Wave" and "Line" designs, combines timeless woodchip textures with the effect of modern wallpapers.

The innovative line and wave patterns will give your walls a unique and personal appearance – in the hall, lounge and bedroom.  Now you can create unique designs in the popular Classico structure by hanging the wallpaper vertically, horizontally or diagonally.
Not only is the appearance new, but so too are the 0.72 x 15 metre rolls, as the rolls now available in most DIY stores have all of the positive features of non-woven wallpapers. For instance, the cut lengths of wallpaper can now be hung using the simple wall adhesion technique and, when you come to redecorate, they can be wetted with water and even painted lengths can be simply and easily removed from the wall. ERFURT-Vlies-Rauhfaser Wave and Line is also hard-wearing, keeps its shape and covers cracks. PVC-free, fibreglass-free and solvent-free, this Vlies-Rauhfaser helps to promote a healthy living environment and carries the TÜV seal to certify that it is suitable for allergy-sufferers.

Smooth wall covering for sustainable room designs

More and more people today are endeavouring to treat the Earth's resources sustainably in their everyday lives – and this trend is on the increase. Accordingly, more and more builders and renovators are asking for product solutions that fulfil this need. Not least because of this, Erfurt has developed BasicVlies Plano, a sustainable wall covering with a paper appearance that now offers DIY customers a cost-effective introduction to on-trend smooth wall design. Free from PVC and softeners hazardous to health, the material creates a breathable, moisture-regulating and overall healthy base surface specifically for paint or wallpaper.
And further benefits await newcomers to this type of wallpaper when they come to work with the wallpaper: BasicVlies does not need to be left to soak before hanging. The non-woven adhesive can also be applied using a pasting machine or directly onto the wall to be wallpapered. With the so-called wall adhesion technique, the dry lengths of wallpaper can be laid straight from the roll into the prepared bed of paste and hung flush against each other.
Once dry, walls covered with BasicVlies are a hard-wearing, abrasion-proof solution that covers cracks and is perfect for playrooms and entrance halls. And when you come to redecorate, the wall covering can simply be removed by wetting with water. From March 2011, the 20 x 0.53 m and 15 x 0.75 m rolls are available from all good DIY stores.
